Names Done Right Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Names Done Right, a premium baby-naming service operated by Underline ("Underline," "Names Done Right," "we," "us," "our"). The business owner of record is Bharath Ramanidharan. By purchasing or using Names Done Right, you agree to these Terms. Please read them — especially Section 4 (what you are buying) and Section 7 (no guarantees), because they describe honestly what Names Done Right does and does not promise.

1. Who we are, and what Names Done Right is

Names Done Right is a guided, data-grounded baby-naming service. You complete an intake questionnaire; we use data-backed checks and AI-assisted synthesis to create a shortlist matched to your stated preferences and family/heritage context; we provide a partner-tiebreaker tool and a crafted keepsake report; and, if you opt in, we add optional tradition layers (numerology, astrology, Vedic nakshatra, gematria) and a free post-birth nakshatra refinement.

Names Done Right is a creative and informational consulting service. It is not medical, financial, legal, psychological, or professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for any such advice.

We are a new, independent business. We do not claim an established track record, a large team, or customer reviews we do not have. When you contact us, a real person — the owner or a vetted contractor — responds.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to purchase Names Done Right. Names Done Right is for adults arranging a name for a child.

3. Ordering, pricing, and payment

• Tiers and price. Names Done Right is offered at published prices (currently $149, $299, and $597 tiers), with each tier's inclusions shown at checkout. The hero tier is $299.
• Payment. Checkout is processed by Stripe. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. The published price for your tier is the same regardless of which payment method you choose; we do not add a card "surcharge."
• Taxes. Prices may be subject to applicable taxes, shown where required.
• Authorization. By submitting payment you authorize the charge for the tier you selected. Your payment details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card or bank numbers (see our Privacy Policy).

4. What you are buying (the deliverable)

This is the most important section, so we state it plainly.

What you receive is a tailored, data-grounded name shortlist and an accompanying keepsake report (plus any optional tradition layers you selected), produced from your intake with data checks and AI-assisted synthesis.

• The deliverable is a tailored recommendation set — a shortlist of names with reasoning, meaning/etymology notes, pronunciation and usage context, and a written report. Specific inclusions depend on the tier you bought.
• The deliverable is delivered on a crafted, scheduled "reveal" — by design, Names Done Right is not an instant generator. You will be told when to expect delivery.
• The deliverable is NOT a guaranteed outcome. You are not buying a promise that you will love a particular name, that you and your partner will agree, that a name is "the one," that any name will bring any result in your child's life, or that a name is unique or unused by anyone else. Naming is personal and subjective. We promise a thoughtful, honest, well-researched process and a quality work product — not a particular emotional reaction or life result.
• Data checks, AI-assisted. Our process uses research tools and AI assistance (see our methodology page and Privacy Policy), with fixed data and safety checks before delivery. The final selection is shaped by the intake and those checks rather than an open-ended generator prompt.

If a tier description and these Terms ever conflict on what is included, the tier description shown at checkout controls for inclusions; these Terms control for everything else.

5. The free "Name Check" teaser

We offer a free "Name Check" — a deep analysis of one name you submit. This is a teaser of our analytical style; it is not a free name generator and does not include a shortlist, tradition layers, or a keepsake report. The same no-guarantee and not-advice terms in Sections 4 and 7 apply to the free Name Check.

6. Tradition layers: cultural practice, not advice or prediction

If you opt into any tradition layer — numerology, astrology, Vedic nakshatra, or gematria — you acknowledge and agree that:

• These layers are offered as a respected cultural and traditional practice, presented for personal meaning, heritage connection, and reflection.
• They are not science, not fortune-telling, not a prediction of the future, and not a guarantee of luck, fortune, health, wealth, character, or any outcome for your child or family.
• They do not constitute medical, psychological, financial, legal, or professional advice, and must not be relied on as such.
• A disclaimer to this effect appears at every tradition touchpoint, and your use of these optional layers is voluntary and opt-in.

You choose these layers because you find meaning in the tradition — not because we represent them as factual predictors. If that distinction matters to you, please simply decline the tradition layers; the core naming service does not require them.

7. No guarantees; honest limitations

To be transparent about what a naming service can and cannot do:

• We do not guarantee that any name we suggest is unregistered, unused, available as a domain or social handle, free of any trademark, or unique. You are responsible for any such checks if they matter to you.
• We do not guarantee that names suit every language, dialect, culture, or family member's taste.
• We do not guarantee specific feelings, agreement between partners, or any real-world result.
• Meaning, etymology, and popularity information is drawn from reputable sources and curated with care, but sources can differ and we do not warrant it is exhaustive or error-free.
• We are a new business and provide the service "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

What we do stand behind is the quality of our process and work product — backed by our Refund Policy (one free revision; full refund if undelivered or off-brief; a 14-day satisfaction window).

8. Your responsibilities and the accuracy of what you provide

• You agree to provide accurate intake information. The quality of our output depends on it. We are not responsible for a shortlist that misses the mark because key preferences, constraints, or family context were not shared.
• You agree to use Names Done Right for a lawful, personal purpose.
• You agree not to misuse the service (e.g., automated scraping, reselling our reports as your own commercial product, attempting to disrupt the site, or submitting another person's sensitive data without their consent).

9. Intellectual property and your license to use the deliverable

• Our materials. The Names Done Right brand, website, questionnaire design, methodology, report templates, and written explanations are owned by Underline and protected by intellectual-property laws.
• Names themselves are not owned. To be clear: individual names are not, and cannot be, owned by anyone — including us. We make no claim to the names we suggest.
• Your license. Upon full payment, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use your keepsake report and shortlist for your own personal, family use — including naming your child, printing the keepsake, and sharing it with family and friends. You may obviously name your child anything you wish, with or without our suggestions, with no further obligation to us.
• What you may not do. You may not resell, redistribute commercially, or pass off our report content, templates, or written analysis as a competing product or service. This restricts our creative work product, not your freedom to use any name.
• Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve Names Done Right without obligation to you.

10. Delivery and scheduling

Names Done Right delivers via a crafted, scheduled reveal, not instantly — this is an intended feature. We will communicate the expected delivery timing. If something delays us beyond what we told you, we will let you know honestly, and our Refund Policy covers undelivered work.

11. Refunds, revisions, and satisfaction

Your refund and revision rights are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and shown before checkout. In summary: one free revision, a full refund if we fail to deliver or deliver materially off-brief, and a 14-day satisfaction window. The Refund Policy controls the details.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Underline and Bharath Ramanidharan will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make based on our suggestions (including the name you ultimately choose). Our total liability for any claim relating to Names Done Right will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the order giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Underline and Bharath Ramanidharan from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of another person's data without authorization.

14. Privacy

Your use of Names Done Right is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect (including, only if you opt in, parents' and child's birth date/time/place and family/heritage details), why, how long we keep it, and your rights to access and deletion.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify customers. The Terms in effect at the time of your purchase govern that purchase.

16. Termination

We may decline or cancel an order and refund it if we cannot serve a request honestly or lawfully. You may stop using the service at any time; your license to your delivered report survives per Section 9.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the owner operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We would much rather resolve any issue directly and fairly — please contact us first and give us a real chance to make it right before any formal dispute.
